Head of e-Commerce (m/f/x)

HEIDELBERG is going digital and as part of this initiative it further develops it´s Digital Marketing & Sales. It has established the HDU (HEIDELBERG Digital Unit) to lead that process and establish an global omnichannel sales and marketing approach.  


We are looking for a strong, internationally experienced Head of eCommerce, a leader with track record in B2B to optimize and scale our global e-commerce activities as well as the organization as part of our omnichannel-sales-approach.



Tasks

  • Global responsibility for B2B eCommerce including own eShop as well as new business models

  • P&L responsibility for all eCommerce activities, including active cost and revenue management

  • Development of right strategies and tactics to deliver desired business outcomes and to determine what work needs to get done, how much to invest in which efforts, and how to prioritize opportunities

  • Adaptation of eCommerce activities and country-specific requirements in cooperation with local sales and eCommerce managers

  • Planning, optimization and controlling of the digital purchasing process within the customer journey

  • Close cooperation with experts in SEO / SEA, Affiliate Marketing as well as marketing communication and content marketing

  • Definition of business requirements for development teams

  • Creating business plans for all online channels and controlling their industry-standard KPIs

  • Further development of the web analysis for the derivation and implementation of improvement potentials

  • Optimization of interactive search and post navigation

  • Initiation and management of projects for process and system optimization

  • Clear focus on value creation, growth, and serving customers

  • Leading a cross-functional team based on agile collaboration and co-creation principles



Requirements

  • 8y+ professional experience

  • 3y+ comparable leadership position in B2B e-commerce

  • Successfully completed a degree in economics or a comparable qualification in e-commerce

  • >50 Mio.€ eCom revenue P&L responsibility

  • International work environment experience, worked or studied abroad

  • Multichannel Sales Experience – e-commerce vs. sales representants

  • Fluent in English

  • High level of commitment and motivation, ready to go an extra mile

  • Team player

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills

  • Results-oriented, pragmatic way of working with a pronounced "hands-on" mentality

  • Communicative and effective personality

  • Strong leadership skills
